Fabricated Equipment Procedure in place 7/1/18 to 11/4/21

The waiver of Indirect Costs on component parts for equipment fabricated in campus shops and in campus labs shall follow the below Fabricated Equipment Procedure. This Procedure allows for the consistent treatment of fabricated equipment costs specifically for fabricated equipment for research, scientific or other technical activities and must be necessary to carry out a sponsored research project.  The waiver is not applicable to equipment fabricated as a deliverable of a sponsored project or intended for sale or transfer to any organization outside UMD.
